Map business activity and access
Identify customer entrances, staff access, loading areas, stock rooms and other spaces that need a view. Note operating hours, lighting changes and who will be responsible for reviewing recordings. An overview of a large area and detail at a doorway may need different camera positions.
Specify recording and account access
Agree how long footage should be retained, who needs access and how recordings should be exported. Camera count, resolution and recording settings all affect storage planning. Discuss access for staff and changes when responsibilities change.
Coordinate cameras, alarms and entrances
Cameras, intrusion alarms and intercoms address different needs. Confirm which systems need to work together and how that will be tested. Ask for equipment, cabling, installation and ongoing services to be separated in the quote.
